Happy Easter a little late. It just seems like time flies by so fast. I can hardly believe it is April already. We have been busy just keeping up with everyday things. I just have to say that I love General Conference. It is always so inspiring. I am still on an inspirational high. It is so neat to hear our Prophet and General Authorities talk and share their testimonies. There is absolutely no doubt the words they speak are directly from our Heavenly Father.
Now for Easter! We love it. The kids and I always get so excited. (Ok, what holiday don't I get excited for?) Taze and Tesi counted the days down until we could paint Easter eggs. Saturday morning we took them to an Easter egg hunt. They had a blast even though it was over before we knew it.
This is Taze running to get some eggs. The city has the fire truck sound the truck alarm and that is how the kids know it is time to go find the eggs. Taze and Tesi were in different age groups this year so Chris and I had to split up.
Taze after the egg hunt. You can see he is so happy and had such a good time.
Taze with his Easter basket with the three eggs he found. I know that doesn't sound like much but there are a trillion kids chasing down about one quarter of that amount of eggs. I was proud of him. I think he did a great job and most of all he had fun.
Taze and Tesi after the egg hunt. Tesi found five eggs. She was a real go getter this year. Of course with the help of her dad how could she go wrong. He has just as much fun as she does. I think I am rubbing off on him. Saturday night my Dad, Mom and sister came up and we colored eggs. It was so fun and I really appreciate my mom and sisters help. Trying to keep track of everything so it doesn't make a huge mess gets a little difficult with such busy little hands.
First thing Sunday morning Taze and Tesi were up finding eggs and their Easter baskets. Tesi is thrilled she found that many at one time.
Taze right after he found his basket. Tesi helped a little because she found it first and steered him in the right direction.
After all is said and done - they found their baskets and are ready to try their new stuff out and eat a little chocolate. When the fun was over we had to get ready for church. Taze had to give a talk in Primary. He told me he wanted to give it on the true meaning of Easter - the resurrection of our Savior. He did such a good job. He pronounced all the big words perfectly and spoke loud and clear. He is going to make one awesome missionary someday!
We hope you had a great weekend like we did.
